The first short movie from Sixpack France, It was on earth that I knew joy , was directed by Jean-Baptiste de Laubier (DJ/producer-Para One). The movie will be shown at the SCION gallery in LA on February 20th 2010. Sixpack France invited artists to create their own interpretation of the movie, and the resulting 15 posters/10 installations will be on exhibition from February 20th-March 13th, 2010 at Scion L.A. McCann Worldgroup created “Paper Battlefield”, a set of ad posters for the Nike Basketball League. The work has won the Grand Prix for Design at Cannes + the D&AD Design award. Nike asked McCann to do a 'call-for-entry' poster for the annual Nike Basketball League Competition, and the players were the ones who handmade the screen print posters. In total 350 were made but only the top 10 prints were chosen. The players attended a silkscreen workshop where they printed their images on top of each other (as seen in the prints included). Rad.
This is one of the best footwear projects I've seen emerge from the NB camp in a while..The Feral Creation is part of the ongoing APAC (asia-pacific) Project and is also tied in with the 99X Series aimed at celebrating running throughout 2009 year. For this particular release, MITA SNEAKERS (japan) & LEFTFOOT (singapour) tag-team the project and served up four renditions of the NB 999 model.. The project is set to drop on 09/09/09 and ofcourse will be hard as fuck to get. Split between Tier 0&1, this program will available at the finest global footwear retailers in a week so start freeing up some space on that credit card..

Over the past week or so, lots of the fall WeSC Canadian production has been arriving at Tiger HQ.. I could be going out on a limb here but it's looking like some fall goodies should be on route to the people by weeks end..!

The New Balance production facility in the United Kingdom has been since 1982 at Flimby, Cumbria in North West England, where 28,000 pairs of shoes are produced each week.
We were taking down the Fall 09 New Balance samples to make room for the 2010 collection and after sorting all the old samples, it reminded me how excited I am for the fall program to arrive. They should be dropping through-out august at select boutiques across Canada.. The folks at HighSnobiety did a sick preview of the collection a days ago that's well worth checking..
